From Coast to Culture: What Makes the 5 Lands Walk So Special?
Winding along a breathtaking 10-kilometre stretch from Macmasters Beach to Terrigal, the walk links five vibrant coastal villages—Macmasters, Copacabana, Avoca, North Avoca, and Terrigal—each offering a unique experience. Timed to coincide with the winter solstice, there’s a palpable sense of wonder in the air as you stroll along beaches, bushland, and headlands glowing with light, life, and celebration.

• Welcome to Country and Aboriginal Cultural Experiences
Begin your walk with a heartfelt Welcome to Country and be inspired by traditional dance, music, and storytelling. The walk is deeply rooted in Indigenous connection to land and spirit—a meaningful way to honour and learn from the First Nations people of this region.
• Art in Unexpected Places
As you move from one land to the next, you’ll encounter temporary art installations and live performances that reflect the stories and spirit of each community. Artists, dancers, musicians, and storytellers come together to create a dynamic, ever-changing landscape of creativity.
• Flavours from the Coast and Beyond
Refuel with delicious eats from local food stalls and cultural pop-ups, where you’ll discover flavours inspired by the many backgrounds that shape the Central Coast. Think handmade dumplings, woodfired pizza, freshly brewed coffee, and more.

The walk is free and open to all, with both guided and self-paced options. Whether you’re up for the full 10km or just want to explore a couple of lands, the journey is yours to shape. Volunteer hosts are stationed along the way to help you find your bearings and share stories as you go.
